Why I started A Story Each Day
When I lived in NYC last year, I met a musician – A violinist. I learned about her experience developing her craft as a musician, and she told me that she had practiced every single day for 25 years.
It made me realize: If I want to be really dedicated to something, it should be a part of my life every single day. And one thing I believe to be inarguably true is that good stories help people understand life better. I’ve tried to dedicate myself to this idea by making films and writing, but A Story Each Day was a clear and adamant way for me to commit myself to an ideal that I care about.
I’m doing this campaign because I want you to share in this journey that I’ve taken. Each story is an adventure, or an exploration that is meant to make people think about life. My stories range from comical sketches to dramatic glimpses into the lives of tragic characters. They range from topics of death, love, failure, success, and finding home.

About the Author
Nicholas Sailer is a writer and film director whose work has been screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Universal Studios. Sailer got his start when he won best picture and best director at CMF, the largest student film festival in the world. After studying screenwriting in Prague, Czech Republic, and working in Brooklyn, New York, He moved to Boylan Heights in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he runs Praxis, a Story/Design/Strategy agency.
